Every time I pack along my gear, this is my intention: capture a life form. Preferably close. Preferably in action. I often put the 100 - 400 mm lens on my camera body when traveling in the car just in case. Sometimes I can even get close enough to use my macro. Wherever I am - Oregon, California, Colorado, Arizona, Tennessee, Florida, Costa Rica, or home in Ohio, I never tire of observing natural behavior and adding new species to my life list. Occasionally I capture such moments as those pictured. Scaly, slimy, feathered, or furred, all life is beautiful.
